The service

Awraqi (the "Service") is an app to organise a family's documents and remind you of their expiry dates, provided by [Company / licence-holder name]. By using the Service or creating an account you accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

Your account

• You must be 18 or older, give correct details and keep your password secret.
• You are responsible for all activity on your account and for the roles you give family members.
• The account owner (creator) manages the subscription, invitations and deletion.

Trial and subscription

• The first 30 days are free with no card. After that you need a yearly subscription (the price shown at subscription time, currently AED [price]/year, tax included as shown at checkout).
• Payment and invoicing are handled by Paddle as merchant of record, and its terms apply.
• If you subscribe in the iPhone or Android app, payment, renewal and cancellation are handled by the App Store or Google Play and their terms apply; you can cancel in your store account’s subscription settings.
• The subscription renews automatically every year until you cancel. You can cancel any time in Settings and it stays active until the end of the paid period.
• If the subscription ends or payment fails: the account becomes view-and-export only, and we delete data 180 days after it ends, after warning you (see the Privacy Policy). Export your data before then.
• We may change prices for future periods after giving you notice.
• Refunds follow the Refund Policy.

Important: reminders are an aid, not a guarantee

Awraqi is a helper tool. Reminders and calendar entries are only an aid and may be late or fail (email in spam, phone settings, outages). You alone are responsible for renewing your documents on time and for checking the date on the document itself and everything about the renewal with the official authority. Awraqi is an independent service, not a government entity or a substitute for one, and scans kept in it are not a substitute for the original unless the relevant authority accepts them.

Acceptable use

Not allowed: using the Service for anything unlawful, uploading content you have no right to or that belongs to someone without authority, trying to hack or disrupt the Service or reach another family's data, excessive automated use, or uploading malware. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

Your content

Your files and data remain yours. You give us only a limited licence to store, process and display them to you and your family members in order to run the Service.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the extent the law permits. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses caused by delays, indirect or consequential damages, lost profits or lost data arising from use of or inability to use the Service or from a reminder that did not arrive, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you actually paid us in the previous 12 months. This does not exclude liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end an account for a serious breach of these Terms or to protect the Service; we will tell you and you may export your data unless the law prevents it.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the courts of [Emirate] have jurisdiction, without affecting any consumer rights that cannot be waived.

Changes and contact
