Inside the app or on the website

1. Open Paperota on your phone, or sign in on the web at the Settings page.
2. In Me, open Your data.
3. If you own the family account: tap Delete the whole family, type the word "delete" and then your password.If you own the company account: tap Delete the whole company account the same way.If you are another user in a family: tap Leave the family and delete my account and type your password. In a company: Leave the company and delete my login.

Without opening the app

E-mail info@paperota.com from your account e-mail with the subject "Delete my account". We confirm it is your address and close the account within 7 days at most; the same period below then applies.

What happens after deleting

• Deleting the family or company, at once: the account closes so nobody can sign in, and cards, share links, the calendar link and reminders stop, and the website subscription stops.
• For 60 days: your data stays stored and encrypted as it was and is not used for anything, and the account can be restored as it was if you write to info@paperota.com from the account email. Files already in Recently deleted keep their usual 30 days.
• After 60 days, for good: everything is deleted: logins, people or employees, documents and dates, details, instalments, bills, vehicles, petty cash, messages, cards, share links, AI use records and files (including Recently deleted). If you want it deleted sooner, write to us.

• Deleting a user: that user’s login and sessions, and the share links they made stop. The account’s papers stay, and in a company an employee’s papers and details stay with the company until it deletes them.
• Files you delete while using the account: stay in Recently deleted for 30 days so you can restore them, then are deleted for good.
• After the final deletion, backups are erased automatically within 35 days at most. The activity log stays for 12 months and is then erased; it may include a person’s or file’s name, never the content of your papers. The email sending record stays for up to 30 days. Payment providers keep their own records as the law requires.
